Week 01 2/2

The original intention of posting every day has completely gone out the window since the intensity of the course. Every night bar last night it wasn't uncommon for me to be coding from 9.30am right through to 7/8pm.

This week has been mainly based on TDD (test-driven-development) and mainly how it guides you through building a program in it's simplest form. I could delve into the difference between feature/unit tests. As well as turning user stories into code...

I furthered my knowledge of Ruby as well as the RSpec framework which helps us build/run aforementioned tests.

I managed this week to complete all but two sections of the Santander Bike Hire Scheme challenge. I managed to create docking stations that could hold a specified number of bikes. It could release bikes as well as let users dock them & also let them specify whether a bike they had was broken. It would then take that broken bike & not let it be re-released...

I've got a few things to go over from this week, amongst some other stuff that I didn't follow. But apart from those minor hiccups I felt it was a good week all round, I guess the important thing is that I grasped the fundamental understandings of these practices...
